Gary Qin’s Weekly Status Report for 4/8

This week so far, I spent roughly 20 hours (including time spent with team for testing) working on testing and developing the front end of the project. I made a comprehensive test log detailing all the tests and experiments we have done so far. I will keep updating the log as we move on to doing more validation next week, and I believe that ultimately having a test log will be helpful in terms of writing out final report as well.

I also figured out a way to deploy the front end Django project to Google Colab this week, so the progress in terms of my own tasks is getting back on track. However, I didn’t know that files created on Colab disappear after a certain period of time, so next week I will finish developing the frontend locally before moving everything to Colab.

In terms of the additional question for this week’s report, we will analyze the anticipated measured results through the use of validation-specific cameras. The current plan is to have a validation camera that can track, with high accuracy, the 2 doors of the main lab space in HH1300 wing. We will be able to verify our latency requirement through observation and our FPS requirement through the CV frame.
