This week, I primarily worked on our team’s project proposal slideshow for the 2/8 presentation. I reviewed the Proposal Presentation Guidance document on Canvas and also project proposals of several past teams to get a solid understanding of the expected detail of the presentation. I then outlined our team’s planned testing process and MVP requirements for our project, and further refined our requirements with my team.
Beyond the project proposal, I also looked into potential methods of connecting and configuring our planned camera module, an Arducam, with our planned microcontroller, a Raspberry Pi. This included accessing the video feed directly through OpenCV in python, or piping it through Linux libraries such as libcamera or gstreamer.
My progress this week is on schedule, as the main task of the week was to complete our team’s project proposal slideshow. The deliverable for next week will be our team’s design proposal slideshow. Completing the design proposal slideshow will also involve finalizing a choice in the software package that will connect the Arducam and Raspberry Pi.
