We want to facilitate ASL remote learning by creating a program that would look at users’ signs and indicate whether they are correct or not. It is difficult to learn ASL without having someone in person guiding you on where your fingers are supposed to go and how the hand movements are supposed to be. This platform gives our users the chance to learn ASL at their own time and pace while still providing feedback on their sign language. With this platform, ASL beginners will be able to learn the alphabet and some simple signs, and then test their knowledge by signing into a camera and getting immediate feedback on how they sign through the use of computer vision and machine learning.
