Diseases such as cerebral palsy can impair motor functions, making it difficult to operate a keyboard or mouse. While there are products on the market designed for accessibility, many are expensive, most require additional hardware and assembly, and few, if any, are open source.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our goal is to design an inexpensive, user-friendly, and open source I\/O controller for people with mobility disabilities. To this end, we will construct a Raspberry Pi-based I\/O device that allows users to type with simple motions.
