kerby is every driver’s newest buddy. With this project, we plan to build a system that can be safely used by drivers to find curbside parking while also being easy to install and to maintain. The goal is a low-cost, long-lasting, modularly designed embedded system, joining the army of today’s IoT, working alongside a simple graphical user interface, that will help reduce chaos in one of life’s most mundane tasks: parking. Smart parking solutions that exist today only address parking garages; kerby would like to become a friend to those who find garages inaccessible or inconvenient. Creating weatherproof and sustainable outdoor technology is not an easy task, but kerby is ready to take on the task!
