For the proposal presentation, I created a preliminary system block diagram. I used this block diagram to help me create the item list.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-93\" src=\"http:\/\/course.ece.cmu.edu\/~ece500\/projects\/s21-teamc0\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/132\/2021\/02\/parts_list-300x188.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"http:\/\/course.ece.cmu.edu\/~ece500\/projects\/s21-teamc0\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/132\/2021\/02\/parts_list-300x188.png 300w, http:\/\/course.ece.cmu.edu\/~ece500\/projects\/s21-teamc0\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/132\/2021\/02\/parts_list.png 634w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I also began documenting the choices made in selecting these parts for use in the design review.\u00a0 For example, we chose the Raspberry Pi Zero W for its cheap cost and small form factor, while still retaining Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.<\/p>\n<p>For next week I will work on selecting a protocol for communicating between the Raspberry Pi Zero and the Android app. This protocol will need to be able to quickly send the item list after the RPi finishes its item scanning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week I helped finish the proposal presentation, and I began finding specific parts to order for our project.
