{"id":253,"date":"2021-05-02T02:51:28","date_gmt":"2021-05-02T02:51:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/course.ece.cmu.edu\/~ece500\/projects\/s21-teamb0\/?p=253"},"modified":"2021-05-02T03:06:58","modified_gmt":"2021-05-02T03:06:58","slug":"andys-status-report-for-5-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/course.ece.cmu.edu\/~ece500\/projects\/s21-teamb0\/2021\/05\/02\/andys-status-report-for-5-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Andy&#8217;s Status Report for 5\/1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Work<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This week I focused on final tuning\/adjustments of the color algorithm and integration with the final robot.<\/li>\n<li>For the OpenCV interface we had a rescoping of the robot so I worked on making the bounding boxes change color when they are within grabbing range of the arm.<\/li>\n<li>I also worked with Omar on compiling and integrating the code with the Jetson and the RevHub on the final robot and debugging the process.<\/li>\n<li>I also worked with my teammates on finishing the final presentation by adding the updated design components (Block diagram, CAD model, and demo videos).<\/li>\n<li>I also tested my color thresholding subsystem more extensively:\n<ul>\n<li>Ran this over 30 times from different angles and 20 taped-wrapped tools\/pencils\/pens to obtain metrics (15 times in bright light and 15 times in dim\/shadowy light)<\/li>\n<li>I observed a &lt; 8% false positive rate under uneven or shadowy lighting conditions\u00a0 (red pen was detected 23 over 300 tests)<\/li>\n<li>&lt; 3 % false negative rates under uneven or shadowy lighting conditions\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(pink tools not detected only 11 times out of\u00a0 300 tests)<\/li>\n<li>Otherwise, &lt; 1% false negative and false positive rate under bright lighting conditions ( 3 red detections and 2 pink false negatives out of 300+ tests)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Future:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Next week is important as I will be giving the final presentation and working with my teammates on the poster and final demo video.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are some screenshots from my webcam during live video feed color detection testing.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"843\" height=\"632\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sa86sBh3G-4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"843\" height=\"632\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Aq0Lu3kRNDo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Work: This week I focused on final tuning\/adjustments of the color algorithm and integration with the final robot.
