02/14
- Borrowed 2 HDMI-mini HDMI cables from IT in HH A level.
- Got the motors from inventory to test and figure out which one might work.
- Met with Arabella to discuss design ideas for the rotating platform.
- Essentially we want a motorized mini lazy susan
- We are considering the pros and cons of using a microwave table motor. It might be too big/too powerful for this purpose, but we want something similar (maybe lower power consumption)
- Wood might be the easiest to work with to drill, laser cut, design on.
- Studied what we did to implement DC motor and servo motor control in embedded.
- We want to rotate as long as the direction is held (as a hand sign left or right or directions on a keyboard arrow keys)
- We could use PWM (pulse width modulation) for controlling the angle of the motor
- SAMSUNG SD formatted fully and has NOOBS, SanDisk is also formatted and has NOOBS
- Next step is getting Raspbian installed on the RPis once we get them (ordered will probably get next week)
