This week was spent getting data transmission working on the boards. See the video link here:

The bottom board is the sender, the top board is the receiver. Leftmost number on both boards represents the number of garbage lines sent/received – the sender sets the number using switches. Middle number on both boards is the current sequence number. Rightmost number on the top board counts the number of packets received. You can see the packet count increasing and the garbage display updating every time I press the key to send a packet.

Now that I’m finally caught up, we can integrate with the game logic this week, and work on metrics after that. Over the next couple of days I’ll iron out any remaining kinks and get bidirectional transmission working.
