Preparing for Demo 1

This week, the team mainly focused on finalizing a big portion of each individual subcomponent in order to demo it the following week.

  • Ike is in the process of finishing a first draft of the CSM, in which different subcomponents are running concurrently and are simulating their inputs and outputs by printing to STDOUT.
  • Thor has been printing the first few sets of parts and has been testing a newly-printed pan-tilt mechanism with our motors so that the InFrame system can track target objects across a 360 degree 3D space.
  • Diego finalized the perception pipeline and has functional object detection so that users can select a target object, as well as object tracking that returns deltas in bounding boxes (optical flow) so that InFrame’s motors can move accordingly.

We are excited to show off our progress and are looking forward to the last few weeks so we can slowly start putting subcomponents together!
