This week I have gotten back on track with making progress on this project. I have 3D printed the dynamic components(image included) of this project and will be measuring the signal delay of the motors before the update on Wednesday. I have also began designing the battery manager and servo driver circuits(image included). I have made the decision to include it as one single board instead of two because it will be easier to fit into the final system and there is no real reason to split up the functions into multiple PCB’s. One decision I am struggling to make is weather I should produce the PCB itself instead of just leaving it as a CAD model. This would require the purchase of some tools. Although our budget would allow for the purchase of these tools and the fabrication of the boards I am not sure if this is worthwhile considering that it is unlikely that I will be able to actually test the PCB’s. I plan on discussing this with the TA and see what he believes would be most significant for this project.
