{"id":283,"date":"2020-05-03T03:40:25","date_gmt":"2020-05-03T03:40:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/course.ece.cmu.edu\/~ece500\/projects\/s20-teama3\/?p=283"},"modified":"2020-05-03T03:40:25","modified_gmt":"2020-05-03T03:40:25","slug":"mia-hans-status-report-5-2-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/course.ece.cmu.edu\/~ece500\/projects\/s20-teama3\/2020\/05\/03\/mia-hans-status-report-5-2-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Mia Han&#8217;s Status Report 5\/2\/20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>What did you personally accomplish this week on the project?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Once I started writing the final report and began looking more into my implementations, I realized that I didn&#8217;t implement the right Reed-Solomon version; instead, I implemented a combination of viterbi + rs which is why the accuracy was so high for errors less than &lt;10%.\u00a0 So, I re-did the reed solomon implementation that more accurately reflects the actual implementation.\u00a0 Additionally, I implemented BCH, another algorithm that detects errors within certain packet sizes.\u00a0 \u00a0Moreover, we met a couple times as a group to make sure everyone understood the GUI, how to integrate their portions, and how to go about de-bugging our issues.<\/p>\n<p>I also worked on our final presentation earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-style: italic\">Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, what actions will be taken to catch up to the project schedule?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I feel that we are slightly behind; the actual product is almost finished, but I&#8217;m worried that we are a bit behind on our video.\u00a0 Additionally, I&#8217;m a bit rusty on C, so that was a little hurdle I overcame today.<\/p>\n<p>To catch up, I plan on spending all day tomorrow creating the script and video that&#8217;s due Monday.\u00a0 Moreover, now that I&#8217;ve overcame that hurdle, I feel that it should be smooth sailing from here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><em><b>What deliverables\u00a0do you hope to complete in the next week?<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I hope to (in order of priority):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Clean up RS<\/li>\n<li>Maybe implement a nuanced version of RS<\/li>\n<li>Finish the video<\/li>\n<li>Final Report<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What did you personally accomplish this week on the project?
