Our SOS Bot is designed to facilitate disaster rescue by providing information to first responders about the number of victims in a given location. The SOS Bot will be an autonomous robot that is capable of navigating through a room while avoiding obstacles in its path. Once the SOS Bot reaches its given destination it will take a panoramic picture of the area and perform human detection on image. The produced result will then be sent to first responders along with the panoramic. Our robot will be a simple yet effective way of advancing the quality of disaster rescue.
