Risks and Contingencies
- Realized that the RFID scanner we got may not be fast enough.
- Might not have enough GPIO pins on the rpi to be able to do everything we want to do. As a possible solution, we can switch the RFID from SPI to I2C and add more circuitry to the IR receiver circuits.
- Latency on the video feed may not be possible to optimize.
Changes to Design
- Finalized number of IR receivers on the car to 4 receivers per car.
- Using opencv instead of openh264 for video decoding.
Schedule Update
- We moved some task around so that we will have a more rounded product for the midpoint demo. Overall, we seem to be on track.
