Our project is a mobile home-monitoring robot that can be remotely controlled while streaming video to a user. Unlike fixed security cameras, the robot can move through a house and reposition its camera to inspect different areas. Possible uses include checking on pets or family members, looking for misplaced objects, or inspecting a home while away.
The robot will support remote driving, live video, an actuated camera, obstacle sensing, battery monitoring, and autonomous return to a home position when its battery is low.
