This week I have finished wiring up all of the Visor Components. I have also integrated batteries into both the Visor and the Station systems. Another big focus this week was preparing for and performing the interim demos.
Regarding Verification and Validation:
We have verified that the data packets generated on the Visor RPI can be transmitted successfully to the Station RPI. We have also verified that the output from our air quality sensors seems to be inline with the local air quality measurements we could obtain. Ideally we would have a more rigorous validation but we were unsuccessful in sourcing the high-end and very expensive reference monitors. We have validated that the GPS coordinates sent from our GPS module are correct and will be able to geo-tag our measurements.
I would say that progress is on schedule with the Visor electronics and software being finished with time to test both the subsystems and the overall project.
For the next week the main focus is constructing the final version of the Visor so that we can perform full system tests.
