This week the primary task was working on the design report. I primarily worked on the Test, Verification, and Validation, Project Management, Related Work, and Summary sections. I also wrote the sections on air quality sensor selection and how the software that will be collecting data from the sensors will work since these are areas that are primarily my responsibility.
In addition to the Design Report, I have started on writing the code that will be reading the sensors and writing that data in a format that will be identical to the format I selected for the external ACHD data so that integration on the website is as smooth as possible.
My progress is slightly behind but no significant corrective action is required to catch up. That being said getting the sensors up and collecting data so that they are ready for testing and validation is critical and will be accomplished this week with the exception of our NOx sensor which needed a cable which has been ordered and we are waiting for it to arrive. However, the code that will be reading this sensor will be written this week. We won’t be able to test it but since we are using established libraries I am not concerned.
