One of the many challenges of live performance, especially in budding musicians, is synchronization. While most musicians gain a natural intuition over years of practice, learning a new piece of music can still be a difficult start. This system has the potential to assist newer musicians improve their synchronization more rapidly, leading to faster learning, and a more cohesive performance.
InSync assists musicians in pinpointing the precise moments of desynchronization and quantifies the margin of separation between them. After uploading their own sheet music and setting the tool to record, musicians will receive post-performance feedback, marking gaps of separation greater than 15 milliseconds between each other and the sheet music template respectively. This data can be stored, allowing for users to view their improvement over time.
