role=\"presentation\">plans<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">are<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ready?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently, the most significant risk is going wireless.<\/li>\n<li>Currently, all of our subsystems are integrated, and the connection between the microphone, voice commands, and web app is wired between a Raspberry Pi and a Raspberry Pi Pico W.<\/li>\n<li>However, our goal is to go entirely wireless, which is likely the most difficult part so far.<\/li>\n<li>The contingency plan is to keep the wired connection between this subsystem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Were<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">any<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">etc)?<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Why<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">was<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">this<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">change<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">necessary,<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">what<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">costs<\/span><\/em><br class=\"textLayer--absolute\" role=\"presentation\" \/><em><span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">does<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">these<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">costs<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">be<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">mitigated<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">going<\/span> <span class=\"textLayer--absolute\" dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">forward?<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A recent change to the existing design is the introduction of a second Raspberry Pi Pico W. To enhance comfort while wearing the glasses, we found that users preferred balanced designs. So, we are moving our microphone and speaker to a separate Pico W on the opposite side of the glasses.<\/li>\n<li>There are no significant risks in this choice, however, it is likely that this change will add some weight to the final design.
