Team B2: Hey CHEF!

Cooking can be daunting for two reasons. First, often the most difficult task is deciding what dish to make given a set of available ingredients as well as finding a reliable recipe for that dish. Second, following along with the recipe becomes less straightforward when a user’s hands become occupied and messy while cooking and users are unable to scroll or flip through recipes to identify the next step or double-check a measurement. To simplify the cooking process, we aim to design a smart cooking assistant consisting of a smart lens and a web app. The smart lens will display recipe steps and support voice-activated commands for ingredient processing and recipe recommendations as well as step-by-step guidance. The web app will store and recommend recipes to the user based on their available ingredients.
