Despite the process sounding like an overdone troupe in spy films, upscaling has actually been around for a long time, and is currently used in a lot of areas, such as browsers.<\/p>\n<p>Our group is aiming to create a hardware-based implementation of real-time video upscaling &#8211; a plug-and-play solution for users who don&#8217;t want to go through the tedious process of upscaling their old, low-quality videos through their computers, or simply lack the technical know-how.
