I did more research into API Gateway and set up a simple WebSocket API that I connected to a test Lambda. After setting up the AWS CLI on my Mac, I was able to query the API and invoke the Lambda function.<\/p>\n<p>Next week, I plan to start writing the actual Lambda function that will control all of the information processing between the RPi and the phone app. I will also start working on the DynamoDB integration with the Python Lambda using the pynamodb library.
